Uses of Tools in Life

A machine is a tool or hardware used to help with doing certain task more easily and quickly. Machine acts as a tool that uses power to apply force and control movement to perform an action. There are various types of machines ranging from simple machines and complex machines.

  • There are several simple machines that have different functions combined on one tool to enable the tool to function perfectly.
 
Simple tools and machine function combinations

  1. The wheels and axles on the rotor make it easy to rotate the tool
  2. The rotor needs to be rotated so that the wedge can work to sharpen the pencil point
  3. The wedge on the mechanical pencil sharpener allows the pencil point to be sharpened

  1. Nail clippers are a combination of levers and wedges
  2. The load position is on the nail while the force position is on the thumb
  3. The fulcrum is a point located between the load and the force that allows the nail clipper to be used
