We will learn to solve number sentences of mixed operations involving addition and subtraction of money within RM 100 000.

  • To complete a mixed operation that involves only add and subtract operations, we must do it from left to right.
 

EXAMPLE:

There are a total of 1 250 visitors who attended the School Open Day. Then 137 people have returned and another 205 new visitors have come. What is the number of visitors at the School Open Day now?

 

SOLUTION:

 

1 250 – 137 + 205

= 1 113 + 205
