Round Off Numbers
We will learn to round whole numbers to the nearest ten thousand.
How to round numbers:
Step 1
Specify the digit that needs to be rounded.
Step 2
Look at the digit to the right of the rounded place value.
Step 3
If the digit is smaller than 5, retain the rounded digit.
If the digit is bigger than 5, add 1 to the rounded digit.
Step 4
Then, change all the digits on the right of the rounded place value to 0.
EXAMPLE: Round the numbers to the nearest ten thousand.
