Chapter 6: Electricity and Magnetism

In this chapter, we will be learning about electricity and magnetism. We will start by understanding the generation of electricity, including renewable and non-renewable energy sources. We will also learn how electricity is generated from different energy sources through examples.

Next, we will explore transformers and their importance in electrical home appliances. We will even get to build our own step-up and step-down transformers through an experiment. We will also learn how to communicate about transformers and their uses.

Moving on, we will study the transmission and distribution of electricity. We will understand the function of different components in this process by drawing diagrams. We will also learn about electricity supply and wiring systems in homes through examples.

Lastly, we will learn how to calculate the cost of electricity consumption. We will define energy efficiency and explore examples of technology that apply this concept. By the end of this chapter, we will have a solid understanding of electricity and magnetism.
