  • To construct a pie chart, a circle is divided into different sectors according to the quantity of each data.
  • The corner size of each sector is proportional to the number of pupils represented by each sector.
 
EXAMPLE:
Steps to build a pie chart:
 
Step 1 Calculate the angle for each sector.
Step 2 Draw a circle and divide the circle into sectors according to the calculated angle values.
Step 3 Label the pie chart with the appropriate title and label the indicators for each sector.
