Chapter 11: Force and Motion

What you need to learn in this chapter

In this chapter, we will be learning about force and motion. We will start by understanding linear motion, which involves distance, displacement, speed, average speed, velocity, and acceleration. We will learn the difference between distance and displacement and how to calculate them. We will also learn about speed, average speed, velocity, and acceleration and their units in daily life.

Next, we will study linear motion graphs. We will learn how to interpret different types of motion from these graphs and determine distance, displacement, velocity, average velocity, and acceleration.

We will then move on to gravitational acceleration and free fall. We will conduct an experiment to determine the acceleration of the earth's gravity, g. We will also learn how to interpret motion graphs for objects in free fall.

Lastly, we will learn about mass and inertia. We will understand what mass is and how to calculate it. We will also learn about inertia and its meaning through examples.

By the end of this chapter, we will have a solid understanding of force and motion, including linear motion, gravitational acceleration, and mass and inertia.
