Environmental issues have become a growing concern worldwide, and our town is no exception. With rising pollution and dwindling natural spaces, these issues are increasingly affecting our residents' well-being. Based on recent surveys, this report highlights three environmental problems we face, plastic waste, air quality, and the lack of green spaces.

Firstly, one of the most pressing issues is the growing amount of plastic waste. Plastic is not only an eyesore but also a major contributor to pollution. For instance, during a recent clean-up event, volunteers collected over 100 bags of plastic waste from just one area. This issue is spreading like wildfire, and it’s clear that we need to focus on promoting recycling and reducing single-use plastics.

Moreover, another significant environmental issue in our town is the deteriorating air quality. Air pollution is primarily caused by vehicle emissions and industrial pollution. For example, on days with heavy traffic, air pollution levels spike, and many people complain of coughing, headaches, and difficulty breathing.  The air feels as thick as fog. Thus, stricter regulations on emissions and encouraging public transport could greatly improve air quality.

Additionally, the lack of green spaces in our town has contributed to rising temperatures and the loss of biodiversity. As urban development expands, more natural areas are replaced with concrete buildings and roads. A clear example is the town center, where a park was replaced by a mall, leaving no green space for residents to enjoy. Therefore, by creating more green spaces and planting more trees, we can help reduce temperatures,

In conclusion, plastic waste, poor air quality, and lack of green spaces are urgent issues. Action must be taken through recycling, stricter regulations, and more green spaces to ensure a healthier environment.
