For example:
- It is raining. Aiyman and Ammar cannot go out to play.
- The man was hungry. He said “Do you have any sandwiches?”
- David is going to Brazil to learn Portuguese.
Full stop [ . ] is used in writing at the end of a sentence or at the end of the short form of a word.
- I went to school early this morning.
- Jane thinks that I drink too much coffee.
- United States of America is abbreviated U.S.A.
Question mark [ ? ]: used at the end of an asking sentence.
- What is your name?
- How old are you?
- Where is the bathroom?
Exclamation mark [ ! ]: used to show surprise or for greetings.
- Hello!
- You are amazing!
- I won the race!
Comma [ , ]: used to separate words in a list.
- Mother bought vegetables, fruit, fish and meat.
- We were out of milk, so I went to the store.
- Grabbing her purse, Emily raced out of the house. Confused by her sister’s sudden change in mood, April stayed quiet.
