Chapter 1 : Listening and Speaking Skills
What will you learn in this chapter

Through various activities, students will develop their ability to speak on related topics with guidance, improving both fluency and clarity. The chapter also emphasizes the importance of participating in conversations in both formal and informal situations, equipping students with the skills to engage in daily dialogues, make suggestions, respond to them, volunteer for tasks, and show appreciation.
Listening skills will be further strengthened as students learn to follow and give instructions, as well as directions around their town or state. They will practice understanding and responding to oral texts by asking and answering questions, identifying main ideas and supporting details, sequencing events, and making predictions.
By the end of this chapter, students will have built a strong foundation in oral communication, enabling them to confidently participate in conversations and respond to oral texts with understanding and clarity.
