This chapter encourages students to explore the world of rhymes, poems, and songs, fostering a deep appreciation for these literary forms. Students will enjoy and engage with jazz chants, poems, and songs through both verbal and non-verbal responses, improving their understanding of rhythm, intonation, and pronunciation.

Through activities like singing songs and reciting poems, students will develop the ability to express themselves with correct stress, rhythm, and intonation. They will also learn to express personal responses to literary texts, identifying key elements such as characters, settings (place and time), and values. This will enhance their comprehension and emotional connection to the material.

Students will be encouraged to plan, organize, and produce creative works based on the literary texts they engage with. Guided by their teachers, they will explore how to use various media to express their responses and creatively showcase their understanding of the texts. Furthermore, students will participate in preparing and performing creative works, allowing them to further immerse themselves in the literary world.

By the end of the chapter, students will be able to confidently enjoy, analyze, and respond to literary texts, as well as produce their own creative works. They will also gain the skills necessary to participate in performances, enhancing their overall appreciation for literature and their ability to express themselves artistically.
