Chapter 4 : Chemical Composition in a Cell

What will you learn in this chapter
Biology
In this chapter, we will learn about the chemical composition in a cell. Firstly, we will explore the properties of water molecules and understand how these properties are important. Next, we will study carbohydrates, which are made up of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. We will learn about the different types of carbohydrates, including monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides. Moving on, we will delve into proteins, which are composed of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen. We will understand how dipeptides and polypeptides are formed and broken down. Lastly, we will explore lipids, which consist of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. We will learn about the main types of lipids, nucleic acids and their functions in the cell.
