TANJUNG ARU, Monday - Approximately 500 residents of Bukit Kopungit were evacuated today due to a landslide that occurred at the nearby hillside after a heavy downpour.
No one was injured but at least four cars were buried underneath the soil in the 6.30 p.m. incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Datuk Johan said the residents were evacuated as their apartment blocks were the nearest to the site of the landslide.
